YOU CAN MAKE A CHANGE

IN THE LIFE

OF A PERSON TODAY

Projects in West Africa

Motherland Rhythm Community's Benkadi Project is supporting families and musicians in Guinea, allowing us to give back to the creators of the rhythms! The Benkadi Project is focused on humanitarian efforts by aiding the people in receiving the basic needs in life such as clean water, food stability, an education and emergency medical services. We are also concerned with helping to preserve the joyful percussive traditional music.

Projects in the US

There is a spirit of community inherent in the percussive music of West Africa. Music unites us and transcends cultures, gender, generations and economic status. Motherland Rhythm Community is an organization that preserves, teaches and presents traditional percussive music from West Africa.

We work with school systems, community centers, clubs, organizations and senior centers offering a unique multi-cultural experience as well as an opportunity to connect with one another musically.
